As part of the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General Brazil commits to promote the use of renewable and clean sources for the production of energy, universal energy access and energy efficiency through an investment of 240 billion US dollars.

Signatories commitment to immediately develop, publicize, and support specific time-bound measureable commitments to reduce plastic pollution, especially in the context of the Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities.

50% of inhabited islands electricity needs to be provided by renewable energy in 2015 and 100% by 2020. 

The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica commits to increasing renewable energy generation and becoming carbon negative. 

The Dominican Republic commits to promote the use of biofuels, lower energy use and mitigate climate change. 

Fiji commits to further increase the share of renewable energy in electricity production, promote energy conservation and efficiency and utilize biofuels in their transport sector.

Guyana will ensure that reliable energy is provided to all, with increasing consideration of renewable energy sources, such as hydropower and combat climate change by protecting and maintaining their forests. 

Maldives commit to achieving carbon neutrality, promoting energy conservation and efficiency and promoting renewable energy technologies. 

The Marshall Islands commit to reducing CO2 emissions, promoting the use of indigenous renewable energy resources and improving energy efficiency in households, businesses and government buildings. 

Mauritius commits to increasing the share and use of renewable energy, promoting and monitoring energy efficiency measures and standards and democratizing energy supply. 

Naura commits to at least 50% of their energy demand to be provided by alternative sources of energy.

Palau commits to a vision for a reliable and resilient energy sector delivering sustainable low emission energy services. 

Saint Lucia commits to increase the contribution of renewable energy to the national energy supply, support the development of indigenous energy sources and reduce the consumption of electricity in the public sector.
